1. Cup of happiness
If a cup of coffee or tea is a part of your morning routine, take the time to fully experience it. Add in an extra spice like cinnamon or turmeric to improve the benefits and taste, sit down, and sip.
2. Beauty routine
When doing your daily skincare or makeup, try to use products that can add some aromatherapy elements or fun tactile experiences to your morning. Sometimes a facial massage is all you need to de-stress before you start your day.
3. Eat breakfast
Don’t just grab a protein bar on your way out the door! If you can sit down to eat with your family, your partner, or even your roommates in the morning, it really can improve your mood before starting your workday.
4. Sweeten your workspace
No one wants to work in an office without any personality! Add in items that inspire you and keep things bright and cozy.
5. Share a sip
One main part of being happy is centered on making connections and having a good time with others. So if your co-worker or a friend invites you for happy hour, go for it and enjoy a drink or two!
6. Go outside
When the temperatures are still nice, try to get as much time in the sun as you can. A little fresh air can always do you good.
7. Light a fire
Have a fireplace in your home? Cozying up by the fire is one of the best winter activities you can do.
8. Find a scent
Candles are another great way to warm up your space. Find a scent that makes you happy and light it as you begin to wind down.
9. Get cooking
Cooking a meal rather than just ordering take-out is definitely a great thing to do. Not only do you get to enjoy the process of making your food, but it’s often a great time to talk with your roommates or partner about their day.
10. Gather round
Bring together your household or invite over friends to enjoy your living space together. Make sure you have cozy elements like fur throws and comfy couches to help everyone kick back.
11. Take a bath
While showers are efficient, baths always feel a bit more luxurious. If you have a tub, take a moment to yourself and have a soak.
12. Chill out
Before heading off to bed, be sure to take a bit of time to decompress in a comfy spot.
13. Journal away
Journaling is a great way to collect your thoughts after a long day.
14. Do some reading
While bingeing Netflix is always great, it’s a good idea to cut down on screen time before bed. Settle down with a good book before turning off the light.
15. Plan for escapes
While taking time to improve your day to day is great, be sure to keep in mind plans for travel with those you love most.
