We as a people of this world live such busy lives. We have filled it with so many distractions it is a wonder anyone has found time to hear the voice of God. Some are stubborn and walk around with their fingers in their ears. I am thankful for a saviour who was able to let me hear past the noise and respond to his call for me.

“See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him.”

1 John 3:1 NLT

As we continue this journey of digging deeper, we must remember what our mission is. As important as it is for us to grow closer to the Father, we have been given a mission to tell the world about him. This isn’t a task we can choose it is a task we must do. We may be called to preach, teach and other callings, but the call to tell the world about Jesus is for all believers.

How then can we expect them to respond to what Jesus has done for them? If we don’t talk about the God whom we have a relationship with then it will be difficult when we bring up the forgiveness of Jesus. Revelations says that Jesus is knocking in the door of everyone’s heart, what each person puts in front of that door that muffles his knock differs for each person. But none the less Jesus is knocking. We need to help them hear this knocking, even more important we need to be ready to let them know WHO is knocking.

So, what are you going to do to fulfil the mission of reaching the lost? Are you ready to push past your fears and go for it? We have the strength of the Holy Spirit inside us, we have no reason to be afraid. If Jesus called us to do it then we should expect results.

Jesus, let us be ready and prepared to tell others about you. We must push past our fears of failure and make a stand for what we believe. Let us become effective at showing people around us who you are through our lives and what we do. Give us the words to tell them who is knocking at the door of their hearts. They matter to you Jesus so they matter to me and I am ready to do so thing about it. Amen
