Making an impact on those around you takes more then just words, it need actions. But both actions and words must match. We can’t use the term do as I say and not as I do any more. To often we are easy to write, say things but to make them a priority in our lives is another. But on the flip side there are pope out there doing good things but just to make themselves feel better and not to glorify God. We do good things because of what Jesus has done for us. No list of good things can ever bring us closer to God, only the acceptance of salvation freely given through Jesus sacrifice and redemption.

“Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.””

Matthew 28:18-20

“If you serve Christ with this attitude, you will please God, and others will approve of you. ”

Romans 14:18

Are you serving Christ in your church, in your home, in your workplace? Honestly and truly, exam yourself, when was the last time you shared your faith? Invited someone to church? Made a disciple?

We get so caught up in what others might think of us, that we forget that it is what God thinks of us that matters.

A movie with nobody talking about it flops, if those who do watch it don’t tell others how great it is will be out if the theatres before it even started. Music only becomes popular with constraint bombardment over the airwaves. TV is rated in the number of people who view it regularly. But they are all dependant on what others think about it.

Christianity, and the love of Jesus, needs you to communicate that love to others. Jesus doesn’t reach people by osmosis. The season of being the church, and expecting them to figure out how to be saved is over. It didn’t work that well. The saying “be Jesus to your neighbour and If you have to open your mouth”, is irrelevant now a day.

I challenge you to set a goal. If you need to be held accountable, post your goal on here. Ask us to question you on your goal. Pick a number of people you want to reach for Jesus, how many per month, year or week. Maybe you goal us simple inviting people to church, that’s okay too. Church isn’t for the believer.

Dear Jesus, challenge us to reach others for you. Pull us off the couch and out of our comfort zones as you have called us as believers to be so much more. We love you Jesus and we desire to do your will. Let’s start doing your will. Amen
