The present is a gift…
To live for now, means to be free.
It is free from the concerns of the past…
and the worries of the future.
We are all taught to strive for success and plan for the future. But, how often can we actually enjoy our success, if our mind is never in the present moment? How often do you take the time to simply enjoy your life…enjoy what you have right now…in this moment?
At some moment in your life, you look back and realize you’ve never actually enjoyed your life, because you were always “climbing the ladder”. Yes, you can look back and say you’ve had a good life, but at the same time, you look back and you realize that you’re always striving to reach a certain rung of the ladder to success. Then, when you reach that rung, instead of enjoying your hard fought success, you refocus on the next rung, never having stopped to enjoy each success along the way.
