Don’t Give Up, Keep Digging

Don’t Give Up, Keep Digging

From what I have learned from movies is that if you give up when your down you always lose. But if there is, hope things may just turn around. How many sports movies have the losing team don’t by an insurmountable score by the half only to come back and win the game? Or someone who is looking for something, almost ready to give up and go home but decides to walk that extra mile, open just one more door, or take that last corner and take a look. Then they find what they were seeking. If we seeking God’s will then there is always hope that at the right time things will get better, it is right around the corner.

“So, let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.”

Galatians 6:9 NLT

Sometimes when we don’t see positive results for our actions we tend to give up. Why bother continuing in our efforts if there isn’t anything to show for it? Is what you doing something that God has called you to do? Is it a positive effort that is aimed at reaching the lost?

If this is the case as believers we need to persevere and keep going the course. If God has called you to do it then he will bless your efforts. There will be times where it feels like nothing is happening but it isn’t the case. Seeds are being sown, people are being watered, love is being poured out where it might never have been shown before. Do not give up.

If you have given up it is not too late to get back in the game. Pull up your socks and jump back in. Don’t be discouraged by a slow start, but look towards the goal, reaching the lost.

Are you going to give up or push on-wards towards the mission of reaching the lost?

Jesus as we dig deeper can you give us the strength to persevere the times where it feels like nothing is happening. We want to see immediate results but we know that time is what’s needed. I want to be used by you. Holy Spirit use me to reach others. They matter to you and they matter to me, so it is time for us to start doing something to reach them. Amen
