Tuesday Night Testimony
Turning Today’s Trials into Tomorrow’s Testimonies…
Written for my Uncles R&C!
Thank You for getting me out of Sodom and Gomorrah….
“Tonight’s testimony reading was not planned. This testimony happened when I was organizing my church sermons and to say the anointing broke the yoke is a bit of an understatement.”
Today I felt a heavy burden because I wasn’t using my spiritual eyesight when trying to dig myself out of a situation.
Earlier I was dealing with a rather troubling situation dealing with my finances. My finances have just about left me, that is right, you heard it here first folks I’m nearly bankrupt but how is it that I am still smiling when I am faced with some big decisions? The answer is simple. I can’t figure the decisions out. At
least I can’t figure them out alone. When I get backed into a corner and cannot figure a way out.
Matthew 6:18-21King James Version (KJV)
18 That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.
19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
I call up heaven on earth. It’s a 24/7 prayer line. That’s right I actually called my church Prayer line for answers to get out of this rather troubling situation. I always call them up when I don’t have the answers by way of my own wisdom.
God’s prayer warriors have much wisdom when dealing with situations that require the wisdom and will of God. When I found out the other day that I need some cash due to piling up bills. I woke up and I contacted an agency in town here that deals with helping people get out of financial ruin. I contacted the manager and explained the situation in a lengthy but calm fashion by email. A lot of people often are shocked at the kind of rewards I receive by ways of prayers.
“People of the earth, I don’t have any secret powers of my own but I do believe in the great power of prayer.”
After I sent the email, I called the prayer line asking for wisdom and favor in dealing with this situation. I am confident in God’s ways to know that I will get a answer relating to the positive results of prayer and I expect an answer returned to me as early this Friday or Monday. Why do I have this kind of faith? I trust in God to do great things like he always has for me.
A little while later after I got off the phone, I got real still and I began to organize my audio church sermons and as I finishing up the Lord’s word came unto my heart saying
“Don’t not think what shall we eat and what shall we drink.” After I heard those words I kept repeating it to myself along with smiling. After I was done organizing my audio sermons I went to the Word to verify what I had just heard and lo and behold the manner of speech is located in the sixth chapter of St. Matthew Gospel.
Last week I was told by a friend of mine that members of the church are to study the word of TRUST and how it relates to trusting
God more and more. So if there ever was an opportunity to trust him now would be it.
Matthew 6:6-15King James Version (KJV)
6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
FORGET NOT THE 5,000
Matthew 6:25-33King James Version (KJV)
25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
