Tuesday daily word states “The power of God within us is greater than the pressures of troubles around you. Have confidence in God’s power because it can sustain.” 2nd Corinthians 4 verse 8 and 9 reads: “ We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.” Paul shows us that his weakness and faults did not cripple or stop him but actually made him stronger on his journey with Christ.
In all things give God praise. Whenever the praises go up, the blessing comes down in abundance. Some blessings are small and we overlook them. Sometimes the war, conflicts and disagreements are so overwhelming we have to pause to actually see the blessings God is giving to us. Some simple things that we take for granted, others do not have. Some persons have simple wishes, like having someone at home to share their feelings with or even someone to have fun with. A good attitude towards life will determine our altitude in life.
Be thankful for life. A roof over your head. Family. Friends. Be thankful that God thought of you and saved you from your sins. That he continues to keep you thoughout every second of your life. When you serve God, it makes you a bigger and better you. Stop what you are doing. Stop the hustle and bustle and worrying about every little thing that does not work out the way you wish and focus on your own development and God’s will for your life. Ask him “What can I do to make today better?” “How can I be a servant to you and share your word with others?” Do not just wake up each day and just go about your activites. Include God in every single thing, great or small. Whether it is school, home, work or wherever, ask for guidance and protection. Change your attitude.
Love your enemies. It will definitely throw them off balance and give them a surprise. Nothing beats a kind and forgiving heart. If God is for us, who can be against us? Joshua 1 verse 9 states “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
2nd Corinthians 4 verse 13 “ It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.” Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak.” This is simply saying, when we speak things with faith and believe with all our heart, our prayers will be answered IF IT IS GOD’S WILL! Sometimes, when certain things come into our life, it is not our responsibility to take care of it, but to give it to God. He wants to show us that with him, we can overcome any obstacle and move any mountain.
If we do not control our thoughts, we cannot control our behavior. Have hope and continue to have hope because miracles happen each day. Never even think that anything is too difficult for God. He never gives us more than what we can manage. Be strong enough to stand alone, smart enough to know when you need help and be brave enough to ask for it. When we look at our past lives and where we were heading compared to where we are now with God, isnt it something great? Career. Family improvements. Financial situations. It is all a blessing. No matter how long it takes to get better, it can and will always get better. Do not be discourages but continue to pray with faith. Praise God and give thanks. Slow down and enjoy everything God has given you. Do not let everything flash before your eyes like a camera but instead take pictures. Memories. Great moments with those you love. When God fights your battles, you CANNOT lose!
